Evan Bishop

Executive Director

Evan is a professional visual artist and educator with a passion to empower communities through the arts. Over the past four decades, he has painted interior and exterior murals throughout New York City and Westchester County. His grant-award winning community art projects have engaged thousands of people of all ages. Evan is the founder of Yonkers Comic Con and uses this platform to celebrate and encourage creatively from emerging and professional artists. 

Adam Shultz

Chief Operating Officer;
President Emeritus

Adam Shultz is a long time board member and officer of Yonkers Arts, recently stepping down to take up the charge with operations at Yonkers. Adam has a long history of small business management and arts oriented community service. Adam is the chief curator and creative director of Yonkers Arts. Adam is the principle of the capital projects at Yonkers Arts continuing a long focus on the future potential of Yonkers Arts. Adam’s passion and personal wealth in experience is helping the community thrive through the arts.

Tayla Edmond

 Executive Assistant

Tayla Edmond, a South African native, has been a part of the Yonkers Arts Team since 2020. While studying at SUNY Purchase, Tayla began volunteering for the organization as a social media assistant and has since expanded her role to include the overall administrative coordination for Yonkers Arts programs, projects and events. 

Henry Marroquin

Marketing Director

I am a multidisciplinary creative with a background in fashion, styling, and the arts. My work spans creative direction, marketing, videography, and photography, with a focus on visual storytelling and community . I’m passionate about contemporary art and fashion as tools for connection and identity. I aim to create impactful, thoughtful experiences that highlight the artist and creatives.

Myles Manalo

Gallery Assistant

Graduate of SUNY Purchase College with a Bachelor’s degree in New Media, focused on creative storytelling through modern digital platforms. Skilled in video production, audio-visual design, and content creation, with experience producing engaging multimedia projects. Passionate about collaborating with creatives and building strong networks within the media and entertainment space. Adept at blending technical production skills with creative vision to develop compelling visual content. 

Niara Flax

Gallery Assistant

Niara Jordan is a visual artist from Mount Vernon, NY. A self-taught painter who enjoys exploring different mediums, she has presented work in group exhibitions including “Straight Lick” (2021, online and in-person, Brooklyn Museum) and “Single Fare 4” (2017, in-person, New York Academy of Art). She has also curated exhibitions such as “BLACK: Welcome To The Renaissance” (in-person, 2022) and “The Simmer Down” (virtual, 2020). She gravitated to Yonkers Arts as a creative wanting to contribute to other creatives and to those spaces. Beyond art, she enjoys growing food and developing programs, and she hopes to make accessible art an “everyday happening” locally, in our homes, and beyond.

Edwin Torres

Technical Assistant

Edwin Torres is an experienced professional in event planning and creative programming, specializing in film and arts, as demonstrated by co-founding Bronx Film 48 and serving as a Board Member for The Bronx Independent Cinema Center. He excels in operations, marketing strategy, and education, having served as a Teaching Artist in video media production.

Lamont Badru

Founder and Advancement Officer for The Lab

Lamont is the founder of the Powerlab in Yonkers, and was instrumental in moving the project under the guidance of Yonkers Art at the Carpet Mills Arts District in Yonkers. Lamont remains dedicated to the promise of the Lab and its impact on the community.

Jason Klein

Director of Development

Jason Klein supports fundraising efforts and strategic partnerships for the organization. He works with local businesses, sponsors, and community partners to grow programs and strengthen community engagement in support of the arts.

Siham Changelryan

Research and Development Assistant

Siham Changelryan is the Research and Development Assistant at Yonkers Arts, Inc. Her primary focus is grant research and tracking, where she works to secure essential funding by identifying opportunities, monitoring their status, and managing the application process from narrative development to submission.
