Yonkers Arts is thrilled to announce our next exhibition,  “Body Adornment”, an exhibition which will explore the universal human practice of decorating the body using various methods, including clothing, jewelry, makeup, tattoos, piercings, and other forms of body modification.

We are seeking submissions of body adornment interpretations from artists, community members, and designers to feature. This could include, but is not limited to, photographs, sketches, paintings, tools used for body adornment and modifications, clothing, and accessories. 

In addition to submissions for the exhibition, we are seeking program proposals to enhance the exhibition experience. This includes, but is not limited to, tattoo pop-ups, workshops on the history of body modification, henna pop-ups, body painting, etc.

The Body Adornment exhibition has been moved from January 2026 to Summer 2026. We will share the new dates for the exhibition as soon as they are confirmed.

In the interim, we are still accepting submissions for the exhibition.
